Plain-language privacy

Privacy at the lake.

Lake Christopher Live is built to share lake conditions—not to build profiles of its visitors. This note explains the small amount of information the site may handle.

The short version

No advertising profiles. No mailing list.

Lake Christopher Live does not sell personal information. We do not currently use advertising cookies or visitor analytics. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change is introduced.

Contact messages

What you choose to send

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, reply email, topic, and message you provide. We use that information only to read your message, evaluate material you share, and reply when appropriate.

The site owner’s destination email address is stored privately on the server and is not included in the public page.

Service providers

How a message travels

The contact system uses Cloudflare to host and protect the form, Cloudflare Turnstile to limit automated abuse, and Resend to deliver the message by email. Those services may process ordinary technical information such as an IP address, browser details, and delivery logs under their own privacy terms.

Retention and choices

Kept only as useful correspondence

Messages may remain in the private recipient inbox as ordinary correspondence. You may use the contact form to ask that a prior message be corrected or deleted; include enough detail to identify it. Legal, safety, or record-preservation needs may occasionally require limited retention.

Lake camera

A future feature with its own notice

The live-camera experience is not connected yet. Before any YouTube or other video player is activated, this page will be updated to explain what loads, when it loads, and which outside service receives technical information.

Transparency matters here. We will revise this notice as the site gains real data sources, a camera player, or any other feature that changes what visitors’ browsers connect to.
