Lake Christopher Live does not sell personal information. We do not use advertising cookies or Google Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and page performance. The small name poll uses one anonymous, essential first-party browser token so the same browser cannot ordinarily vote twice.
Website analytics
Understanding visits, not building profiles
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views, referring sites, browser and device information, and page-loading performance. Its analytics beacon does not use cookies or local storage to identify visitors, and we do not send contact-form contents or poll choices to it.
Cloudflare also hosts and protects this website; its operational and security logs are separate from these analytics. Read more in Cloudflare’s Web Analytics documentation.

What you choose to send
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, reply email, topic, and message you provide. We use that information only to read your message, evaluate material you share, and reply when appropriate.
The site owner’s destination email address is stored privately on the server and is not included in the public page.
Service providers
How a message travels
The contact system uses Cloudflare to host and protect the form, Cloudflare Turnstile to limit automated abuse, and Resend to deliver the message by email. Those services may process ordinary technical information such as an IP address, browser details, and delivery logs under their own privacy terms.

One anonymous browser token
When the “What do you call it?” poll loads, the site assigns the browser a random identifier in an essential first-party cookie. The identifier and the selected lake name are stored in the site database only to recognize a prior vote. No name or email is requested, and a raw IP address is not stored with the vote.
Clearing browser data or using another browser can allow another vote, so the one-vote limit is a privacy-minded best effort—not a claim of perfect identity verification.
Weather and radar
Public information from the National Weather Service
Forecasts and radar imagery come from the National Weather Service. The embedded radar image is relayed through Lake Christopher Live, so loading it does not send the visitor’s browser directly to the weather service. Choosing the full-screen radar link opens the National Weather Service site in a new tab.
Retention and choices
Kept only as useful correspondence
Messages may remain in the private recipient inbox as ordinary correspondence. You may use the contact form to ask that a prior message be corrected or deleted; include enough detail to identify it. Legal, safety, or record-preservation needs may occasionally require limited retention.
Lake camera
A silent view delivered by YouTube
The website checks YouTube’s public broadcast information through a server-side connection and loads a standard YouTube player only when a current, public, embeddable live broadcast is confirmed. These checks are shared across visitors and do not send visitor details to the YouTube Data API. When the player loads, the visitor’s browser connects directly to YouTube and Google. Those services may receive ordinary technical information such as an IP address, browser and device details, playback activity, cookies, and locally stored player data under their own privacy terms.
If no live broadcast can be confirmed, the camera panel shows a clearly labeled still photograph with a direct YouTube link. The embedded camera feed is intentionally silent. Lake Christopher Live does not give the player access to a visitor’s camera, microphone, or location.
